Brack and Brine is coming to Corner Brook, as part of the Grenfell Campus Film Series. Big thanks to Rachel Webb Jekanowski, a brilliant local faculty member (and friend!) who specializes in the Environmental Humanities & Film and Media Studies. There will be four events in all, celebrating the cinema of Labrador. The connections between Labrador and Corner Brook are many, from the forestry industry to the fishing industry, and from family connections to ferry connections—not to mention to the long southbound drives many of us in the Big Land have made for shopping trips in recent years! Come out and say hi, if you’re in the area this October.
